When Fr. Marc Boisvert heard about the poverty in Haiti while serving
as a navy chaplain, he decided to travel there and see for himself. He
was so moved by the needs of the poor - particularly of the orphaned
children - that he chose to give up a life of relative ease and stay to
work with the needy. His creative program provides hundreds of orphan
children with shelter, food and a variety of educational opportunities.
