Anti-Poverty Projects
![]() |
In struggling countries of the world, the Catholic Church remains a beacon of hope for the poor. Very few government programs exist to assist the needy, so virtually all of the social services available to the poor are provided through Christian ministries. Cross International Catholic Outreach works directly with the priests, nuns and lay leaders operating these vital social ministries overseas.
In addition to being cost effective, this approach is more beneficial to the ministries being helped. They can obtain the specific resources they need to implement the projects best suited to the communities they serve. Their outreach has less waste, and greater impact for the poor.
Cross International Catholic Outreach strives to:
- Provide overseas churches with grants to carry out their outreach projects and programs
- Supply material resources to Catholic ministries already operating in areas of need
- Achieve tangible results and measurable success—to break the cycle of poverty in poor communities and give struggling families new hope.
We support overseas ministries using funds donated by compassionate Catholics in the United States and Canada. In this way, Christians in North America are able to help their counterparts in developing countries in direct and meaningful ways. Through our Accountability Assurance Pledge we commit to be fully accountable for the use of funds. We respect our donors' intent for the use of their gifts and provide them with clear documentation about the projects they support.
