Scripture Reading: Luke 13:1-9
In this reading, Jesus reminds us that our lives should bear good fruit.
In many places, orphans and vulnerable children are marginalized and forgotten by society, but we can bear good fruit by sharing God’s mercy with them. Put a coin in your collection box as you remember these children.
So if you think you are standing, watch out that you do not fall.
1 Corinthians 10:12

Nearly 17 million children under the age of 18 are AIDS orphans. (USAID, 2016)
Heavenly Father, we pray for all children who have been orphaned by AIDS. May you be with them and comfort them. Give them favor in the eyes of relatives and neighbors, so they will be accepted and cared for. If they are sick, ease their pain and bring caregivers into their lives who will help them and give them the medical care they need. Most of all, Lord, let them know they are not alone — but that you are with them each day. In the name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.
