“We who have a voice must speak for the voiceless.”

- Archbishop Oscar Romero

And the king will answer them, "Truly I tell you, just as you did it to one of the least of these who are members of my family, you did it to me."

Matthew 25:40

Poverty in Haiti

While the small Caribbean nation of Haiti is stunningly beautiful, its condition is incredibly heartbreaking as well, with its people struggling under one of the highest levels of poverty in the Western Hemisphere.

It’s estimated that 60% of Haiti’s 11 million people live in poverty, so illiteracy is high, malnutrition is rampant, and steady, well-paying employment is almost impossible to find.

Cross Catholic Outreach works with the Kobonal Haiti Mission to alleviate poverty among Haiti’s poorest families.

I am unable to attend the Voice of the Voiceless Golf Tournament, but I’d still like to support families in Haiti.
