Material Aid Donations

Donations of material aid (food, medicines, medical supplies, educational materials and other valuable goods) are highly sought by ministries serving the poor and have become integral to Cross Catholic Outreach’s mission of transforming the poor materially and spiritually.

If you want your material aid donations to help end suffering, restore hope and save lives, we invite you to become a part of our material aid outreaches around the globe!

Cross Catholic Outreach manages material aid on a needs-based strategy; meaning, we seek goods based on the needs of our ministry partners. You may review our list of needed products below, as well as items we cannot accept. Medical Products We Need

If your company manufactures or sells medicine or health supplies, or if you work for a manufacturer, wholesaler or distributor of pharmaceuticals, medical supplies, dental supplies and medical equipment, we can get these products to hospitals, clinics and short-term medical missions in vulnerable communities around the world. The items we need include:

  • Pharmaceuticals and supplies from manufacturers (minimum expiration of 6 months once product is received in country). Supplies can include: assorted needles, first aid supplies, oxygen masks, cannulas, nebulizers, laboratory test tubes, etc.
  • Over-the-counter medication (minimum expiration of 6 months once product is received in country).
  • Hospital beds and equipment from health care facilities.
  • Walkers, canes, crutches, bedside commodes, shower chairs, etc.
  • Wheelchairs (preferable nonelectric).
  • Diapers (adult and child).
  • Multivitamins.

Medical Products We Cannot Accept

  • Unused or used products from private individuals.
  • Expired items or items that will expire in less than 6 months (unless specifically requested by the recipient organization).
  • Prescriptions that have been issued to an individual.
  • Most high-tech equipment (call to be sure).
  • Equipment in need of repair.

Educational Products We Need

  • New office and school supplies (paper, pens, pencils, notebooks, etc.).
  • School equipment (desk, chairs, whiteboards, etc.).
  • New school uniforms.
  • Backpacks.
  • Learning materials (Spanish language preferred).
  • New or gently used Spanish language Bibles (Catholic preferred).

Education Products We Cannot Accept

  • Used school supplies.
  • Textbooks, nonfiction books and reference materials.
  • Journals.
  • Magazines.
  • Encyclopedias.

Disaster Relief Products We Need

  • New personal care/hygiene items (minimum expiration 12 months).
  • New over-the-counter medication (minimum expiration 12 months).
  • New clothing (tags still attached).
  • Tents/blankets/sleeping bags.
  • Cleaning supplies.
  • Canned food.

Shelter Products We Need

  • Construction materials.
  • New household items.
  • Tile.

Shelter Products We Cannot Accept

  • Used household items.
  • Used appliances.
