Urgent Need: Hurricane Dorian Disaster Relief

Hurricane Dorian, the fourth named hurricane of the 2019 season, tied the record for the most powerful hurricane to make landfall in the Bahamas. At its most powerful, Hurricane Dorian was listed as a Category 5 major hurricane, peaking with one-minute sustained winds of 185 mph and generating destructive gusts over 220 mph (355 km/h). At this time, Hurricane Dorian remains a powerful Category 4 hurricane, barreling toward the Southeast United States.

In addition to unleashing massive flooding across the Bahamas, Hurricane Dorian completely destroyed numerous homes and buildings, leaving many homeless and in need of immediate assistance.

Cross Catholic Outreach is working with Catholic Charities of Miami and the Archbishop of Nassau to provide much-needed food and medical supplies to affected families and children.

Our Commitment

We consider every gift we receive to be a precious resource from God. We direct every donation to its intended project, provide honest and accurate reports to our donors, and keep overhead costs to an industry low. We handle funds with utmost integrity and hold our ministry partners in the field to the same high standards by asking them to document costs and the impact of their outreach.
