ARISE AND BUILD – FULLY FUNDED

You Blessed the Poor

Last fall, we came to you with a pressing need. Families in the Central Plateau of Haiti were living in rickety shacks that offered very little shelter, and were relying on contaminated streams and rivers to meet their water needs. To address this terrible problem, we asked you to join with us so those poor families would be blessed with safe shelter, clean water and the power of Christ.

You came to their aid and graciously responded to their dire need.

- We Thank You! -

Your gift blessed impoverished rural families in the following ways:

  • SAFE HOUSING: You helped build 80 hurricane-proof concrete houses, to benefit families who originally lived in makeshift shacks that leaked when it rained, buckled under strong winds and required frequent repairs.
  • CLEAN WATER: You provided funding for three community water wells to serve the needs of about 90 families. Each well station serves an abundant supply of clean water, and is protected and maintained by a committee of local villagers.
  • CATHOLIC FORMATION: You helped make the Kobonal Haiti Mission an even more vibrant Catholic community through the construction of a new chapel. The land for the chapel has been cleared and leveled. Soon, the foundation will be laid in preparation for the chapel’s construction.
  • MISSION STRENGTHENING: You helped Fr. Meaux expand his vision beyond the boundaries of the village of Kobonal by supporting the Mission’s many ministries.

Thank you for fully funding this project!

Proceeds from this campaign were used to cover any expenditures for “Arise and Build” incurred through June 30, 2019, the close of our ministry’s new fiscal year. In the event that more funds were raised than needed to fully fund the project, the excess funds, if any, were used to meet the most urgent needs of the ministry.
