Project: Casa Hogar Copainala Home For Girls
Location: Mexico
There was a time when the Salesian Sisters running Casa Hogar Copainala Home for Girls in Mexico were desperate because they had difficulty finding resources to purchase food for the children in their care. With no money to buy groceries, the nuns would gather the girls at the orphanage to pray in the chapel.
Sister Patty shared, “All the girls come out of dysfunctional homes. They are malnourished when they come in. They’ve never had vegetables or meat,” says Sister Paty, director of the home.
With your help, Cross Catholic Outreach now provides support for the Salesian Sisters to buy fresh foods for the children – giving them the peace of mind that there will always be enough food in the pantry for growing bodies.
In providing food for these lifesaving ministries, you are meeting the urgent needs of the poor, sharing Christ’s love and rekindling lost hope. You are being a true follower of Christ, not just in word but, in deed. May God bless you for healing hungry bodies and souls with food, mercy and compassion!
