Delivering food, shelter, and hope to the poorest of the poor
Thousands of pilgrims followed Pope Francis to Panama this weekend in honor of World Youth Day. Concluding his visit on Sunday, January 27, His Holiness encouraged young men and women, saying, “You, dear young people, are not the future but the now of God.”
How Cross Catholic Outreach is making an impact
Cross Catholic Outreach strives to empower many ministries that nurture and educate the youth of today. One such ministry is Santa María del Mexicano, located in Colón, Mexico. Through its four boarding homes, which also operate as schools, this ministry provides poor and at-risk youth with a loving home, balanced nutrition and a quality Catholic education. The ministries we support recognize the intrinsic value of boys and girls, who have been created in God’s image. They value them not because of what they will do tomorrow, but because of how much they matter to Christ right now.
Our mission is to mobilize the global Catholic Church to transform the poor and their communities materially and spiritually for the glory of Jesus Christ. Your gift empowers us to serve the poorest of the poor by channeling life-changing aid through an international network of dioceses, parishes and Catholic missionaries. This cost-effective approach helps break the cycle of poverty and advance Catholic evangelization.
