Providing Homes for Poor Haitian Families

As we prepare for the celebration of our Lord’s birth, please consider participating in Cross Catholic Outreach’s “Homes for Christmas” Advent ministry. When you get involved, you will join other Catholic parishes across the U.S. as they bless poor Haitian families with the gift of safe housing — a blessing that renews dignity and uplifts families for generations.

Haiti is one of the poorest countries in the Western Hemisphere, with most of the population surviving on less than $2 per day. Many of these poor families live in dilapidated shacks, cobbled together with mud and sticks, and they are desperate for relief.

When your parish participates in “Homes for Christmas,” you join Cross Catholic Outreach and the Kobonal Haiti Mission in building sturdy concrete houses for poor families. It costs only $6,981 to build one of these houses, and the impact will last for years to come.

Cross Catholic Outreach’s “Homes for Christmas” Advent program provides free liturgically themed promotional tools. They will enlighten and motivate parishioners to put their faith into action by sheltering the homeless.

Please join with us in our efforts to ensure that needy Haitian families have a safe place to call home — for the Christmas season and beyond!
