Delivering food, shelter, and hope to the poorest of the poor
Cross Catholic Outreach
Sandi Pino, Senior Director at Cross Catholic Outreach was live on The Katie McGrady Show to talk about the Box of Joy ministry and its efforts to bring Christmas joy to poor children in developing countries. Catholic parishes, schools and groups nationwide prepare Boxes of Joy by packing the boxes with small gifts. Participants insert $9 in each box to cover shipment from the local drop-off.
Pino explained that the 2021 Box of Joy outreach kicks off in September, and groups deliver gifts to their local drop-off centers during Box of Joy Week, Nov. 6-14. Any group that misses Box of Joy Week can ship its gifts to the National Screening Center in Miami. The interview starts at about 30:01.
Our mission is to mobilize the global Catholic Church to transform the poor and their communities materially and spiritually for the glory of Jesus Christ. Your gift empowers us to serve the poorest of the poor by channeling life-changing aid through an international network of dioceses, parishes and Catholic missionaries. This cost-effective approach helps break the cycle of poverty and advance Catholic evangelization.
