Delivering food, shelter, and hope to the poorest of the poor
In the first Gospel reading for Palm Sunday in Matthew 21:1-11, Jesus makes his Triumphal Entry into Jerusalem. Waving their palm branches, the people shout:
“Hosanna to the Son of David!
Blessed is the one who comes in the name of the Lord!
Hosanna in the highest heaven!” (Matthew 21:9)
You can make this story come alive for your children with a fun Palm Sunday craft. You only need a few materials to get started.
Note: Any of these items can be substituted for something similar. For instance, a ruler could be used in the place of a popsicle stick. Be creative when collecting your items!
This Lent, Cross Catholic Outreach ministry partners are providing material and spiritual aid to families around the world, but we need your help. As you pray, fast and give this Lenten season, would you consider making a gift to Cross Catholic Outreach to support our work in developing countries?
