Delivering food, shelter, and hope to the poorest of the poor
Mike Ciampoli is well known among local Philadelphia Knights for the energy and leadership he brings to the Order. Not only has he served as Grand Knight of Regina Coeli Council #4921, but he has also served as a District Deputy and Faithful Navigator. His boundless enthusiasm for serving others has extended to his parish, Our Lady of Calvary Parish in Northeast Philadelphia, where he serves as an Extraordinary Minister of the Eucharist and a Director of the Ushers.
Earlier this year, Mike learned of the spiritual retreat written for Knights and directed by Father Dave Caron, O.P. He quickly rallied fellow Knights to host the inspiring experience this past Spring. On the morning of April 29, more than 50 Knights and Catholic men, including Pennsylvania State Deputy Mike Kish, gathered at Our Lady of Calvary School to participate in the retreat. Many attendees remarked on how it impacted their growth as Catholic men!
This fall, Mike and his council also embraced the Box of Joy® ministry, engaging his parish and the Catholic school in blessing children with a Christmas gift through this work of mercy! Mike shared, “This is such a fun project and it’s exciting to see how our families really love putting together the gifts for children who never know what it’s like to receive one.”
At Cross Catholic Outreach, we are blessed to partner with Knights like Mike who continue to shine as examples of Catholic men putting their faith into action.
