Light on a Knight – April 2024

West Virginia Past State Deputy Scott Nale is a member of Council No.16837 in Morgantown and has been a member of the Order since 1996. He has been involved in helping to feed more than half a million hungry people. How did he do it? Through consistent involvement in Cross Catholic Outreach’s food packing events, Scott and his fellow WV Knights have put their faith in action on behalf of the poor time and again.

In 2018, while Scott served as State Deputy, he began supporting food packing events throughout his home state. Since then, he has been involved in every food packing event hosted by WV Knights. Recently, he served as a project leader for the WV Knights food packing event that occurred in Morgantown, WV. It was on that memorable occasion that Knights from across the country reached the inspiring milestone of packing their one-millionth meal!

Scott has made these food packing events a family affair — encouraging his wife, Jennifer, daughter, Lily, and son, Tommy, to get involved alongside him. Scott’s passion for community service and for encouraging families and young volunteers is clear to all who attend these events and see him encouraging others to put their faith into action. For his tireless efforts to feed the hungry, we are honored to recognize Scott as this month’s “Light on a Knight”.
