This month we are honored to feature Bill Feaster in our Light on a Knight segment. With over 25 years of service as a Knight, he is an honorary member of the Knights of Columbus and currently serves as Chancellor for Mother Cabrini Council #7278. He is responsible for a handful of committees including Respect life, Family of the Month, Hispanic Outreach and the hunger initiatives.
Bill goes above and beyond these responsibilities and beautifully lives out the Corporal Works of Mercy. His work with Island Harvest Food Banks in the fight against hunger, in the Pro-Life movement building websites for Pro-Life groups, and running clothing drives for immigrant parishes in his community are all incredible witnesses to what it means to put faith into action.
His spiritual journey started at St. Anastasia in Douglaston, New York, where he learned the teachings found in the Baltimore Catechism. Bill’s K-8 Catholic school education laid a solid foundation for the rest of his life. He said, “While my journey has strayed off the path at certain times, I have always returned to the roots of my faith. This is where I am today — committed to the Faith and motivated to expand the Gospel of Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.”
We are grateful for Knights like Bill who boldly put their faith in action on behalf of those in greatest need.
