During the 24 years Cross Catholic Outreach has served the poor, more than 200 Catholic bishops from around the world have endorsed our mission. Recently, Bishop Gerard Battersby of the Diocese of La Crosse and Bishop Michael Martin, OFM Conv., of the Diocese of Charlotte shared written endorsements for our ministry.
“The work of Cross Catholic Outreach to support Catholic missionaries in the developing world is a blessing to the universal Church. Having the ears to hear the cry of the poor is so important in our modern age, when many in the developed world assume poverty no longer threatens the lives of our brothers and sisters. I join my brother bishops in support of your mission to transform the lives of the poor materially and spiritually, and I encourage you to continue this ministry of service, which aligns with the model of integral human development recognized as so effective by the Church.”
“I am pleased to express my support of the ministry that Cross Catholic Outreach does to support the poor and needy around the world. Standing in the gap to provide the basic necessities of food and housing echoes the admonition of James 2:15-17: ‘Suppose a brother or a sister is without clothes and daily food. If one of you says to them, “Go in peace; keep warm and well fed,” but does nothing about his or her physical needs, what good is it? In the same way, faith by itself, if it is not accompanied by action, is dead.’”

Donations from this campaign will be used to cover any expenditures for this project incurred through June 30, 2027, the close of our ministry’s fiscal year. In the event that more funds are raised than needed to fully fund the project, the excess funds, if any, will be used to meet the most urgent needs of the ministry.
