Light on a Knight: Riley Hoheisel

For Riley, service isn’t just a singular event, but a lifelong commitment. With the St. Bridget’s Council, he works tirelessly to uplifting his brothers and sisters in Christ, both in his community and around the world. After nearly 37 years of service as a Knight of Columbus, Riley has participated in countless programs. Most recently, he was inspired by his parish’s involvement in their Box of Joy® drive, where parishioners packed and returned an overwhelming number of boxes.

“Box of Joy is so rewarding knowing [our parishioners] are doing it from their heart,” Riley shared.

In addition to their international efforts, Riley’s council has made an incredible impact close to home. For example, two years ago, they hosted a musical event that raised over $5,700 for a local organization that helps families experiencing homelessness.

Riley and the St. Bridget’s Council remain steadfast in their dedication to serving people near and far. What touches his heart most about their partnership with Cross Catholic Outreach is the opportunity it gives his local parish to make a global impact.
