Cross Catholic Outreach is pleased to welcome the Most Reverend Timothy Broglio, J.C.D., of the Archdiocese for the Military Services, USA, to our Board of Directors. Archbishop Broglio began his three-year term at the Cross Catholic Outreach board meeting held on June 10 in Orlando.
Archbishop Broglio is a former Vatican diplomat who has served in a range of pastoral, diplomatic and leadership roles. Ordained in 1977 for the Diocese of Cleveland, he later entered the Holy See’s diplomatic service, serving in postings in Africa and South America and in senior roles within the Vatican Secretariat of State. He was appointed Apostolic Nuncio in the Dominican Republic in 2001 and became archbishop of the Archdiocese for the Military Services, USA, in 2007, a role in which he continues to serve. He has also held leadership positions within the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops, including serving as its president, and has been involved in numerous Church governance, international and charitable organizations.
Cross Catholic Outreach is honored to have Archbishop Broglio’s leadership on the Board of Directors. His extensive experience in global Church governance, diplomacy and pastoral care brings valuable insight to our mission and outreach to those we serve.
During his time leading the Diocese of Colorado Springs, the Most Reverend James Golka joined the Cross Catholic Outreach Board of Directors and traveled with us to Guatemala on a vision trip. We were blessed to witness his installation as archbishop of the Archdiocese of Denver and are grateful he has agreed to serve a second term on our board.
