When I first shake hands with sisters Mary and Jhovana, they appear much like average college students. They carry book bags and talk about their classes, and they are both about to graduate and head into the workforce armed with their degrees. Their quick smiles reveal their justified excitement.

“Where there is no vision, the people perish.” The famous KJV translation of Proverbs 29:18 may invoke nausea as often as inspiration, because so many leaders misapply it to promote their personal agendas.
Proverbs 22:6 offers this advice: “Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it.” This verse offers some Godly insight into just how impactful education can be in the life of a child. At Cross Catholic, we see that impact every day as we receive success stories from the education programs we support for poor children around the world.
Missionary Ana Aleman has always been a favorite in our office. Her selfless devotion to the poor at Las Mercedes/Prince of Peace Nutrition Center in Honduras continues to be an inspiration. She truly puts her faith into action.
Our mission is to mobilize the global Catholic Church to transform the poor and their communities materially and spiritually for the glory of Jesus Christ. Your gift empowers us to serve the poorest of the poor by channeling life-changing aid through an international network of dioceses, parishes and Catholic missionaries. This cost-effective approach helps break the cycle of poverty and advance Catholic evangelization.
