Be Someone's Miracle

Give Christmas Toys

While U.S. children make wish lists of new toys for Christmas day, their counterparts in developing countries are never so bold. Impoverished parents struggle to feed and clothe their children. They have little left for luxuries like toys. Even orphanages typically go without at Christmas. Most strive to make efficient use of charity funding in order to meet children’s daily needs, so they go years without purchasing a toy.

Poor children commonly make toys out of scraps — empty beverage bottles, discarded metal, a cardboard box. These children wish for just one gift — what you send will be treasured!

$34 will send a Box of Joy™ to a child in a developing country.

Gift giving is a meaningful part of Christmas, but sadly, severe poverty deprives many children of this simple joy. By sending a Box of Joy™ — filled with toys, clothing, school supplies, a rosary and the Story of Jesus — you can demonstrate Christ’s compassion to an impoverished child who may never before have received a Christmas gift.

For as little as $15, you can provide 10 impoverished children with their own soccer ball.

Soccer is the most popular sport in the world, and it is an especially popular pastime for children in developing countries. Visit a Catholic mission serving children and you will often find the kids playing soccer in a nearby field or gravel lot. Sadly, the balls used by impoverished kids must often be crafted from old shopping bags, bits of twine and torn-up strips of old clothing. They simply can’t afford “the real thing.” Now you have the opportunity to send a gift that will be cherished.

“They asked only one thing, that we remember the poor…”  Galatians 2:10

Cross Catholic Outreach

Our mission is to mobilize the global Catholic Church to transform the poor and their communities materially and spiritually for the glory of Jesus Christ. Your gift empowers us to serve the poorest of the poor by channeling life-changing aid through an international network of dioceses, parishes and Catholic missionaries. This cost-effective approach helps break the cycle of poverty and advance Catholic evangelization.

If you identify an aid project, 100% of the donation will be restricted to be used for that specific project. However, if more is raised for the project than needed, funds will be redirected to other urgent needs in the ministry.
