In developing countries, mothers are turning to extreme measures due to the global hunger crisis. Some boil pots of rocks and water so their children can fall asleep imagining they’ll have food in the morning. The sad reality of the COVID-19 pandemic is many people around the world are falling into food insecurity. More than ever, impoverished children and families need nutritious food.
Saturday, July 10, 2021, Cross Catholic Outreach is teamed up with Church of the Holy Trinity and about 100 volunteers to pack 40,062 meals for poor children and families around the world. In addition, 1,000 meals were also provided to the local Cheyenne food bank.
This incredible act of mercy by Church of the Holy Trinity empowers Cross Catholic Outreach to provide its ministry partners in developing countries with shipments of Vitafood. These nutrient-rich meals will feed children and families in the poverty-stricken country of Guatemala for just 25 cents a meal. Thank you Church of the Holy Trinity for your service and support of food packing!
For the safety of all participants during the COVID-19 pandemic, our meal-packaging activities follow CDC guidelines and local regulations with regard to hygiene, social distancing, and avoiding events while sick.
