Delivering food, shelter, and hope to the poorest of the poor
In developing countries, mothers are turning to extreme measures due to the global hunger crisis. Some boil pots of rocks and water so their children can fall asleep imagining they’ll have food in the morning. The sad reality of the COVID-19 pandemic is many people around the world are falling into food insecurity. More than ever, impoverished children and families need nutritious food.
On Saturday, March 26, 2022, Cross Catholic Outreach teamed up with the Knoxville Diocese Council of Catholic Women to pack 50,112 meals that will be shipped to poor children and families in dire need.
This inspiring work of mercy will empower faithful Catholics to bring Matthew 25:35 to life. “For I was hungry and you gave me food, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you welcomed me.”
Working together in this incredible act of mercy will empower Cross Catholic Outreach to provide its ministry partners in developing countries with shipments of Vitafood. These nutrient-rich meals will feed children and families in poverty-stricken countries for just 33 cents a meal.

Proceeds from this campaign will be used to cover any expenditures incurred through June 30, 2022, the close of our ministry’s fiscal year. In the event that more funds are raised than needed to fully fund the project, the excess funds, if any, will be used to meet the most urgent needs of the ministry.
Our mission is to mobilize the global Catholic Church to transform the poor and their communities materially and spiritually for the glory of Jesus Christ. Your gift empowers us to serve the poorest of the poor by channeling life-changing aid through an international network of dioceses, parishes and Catholic missionaries. This cost-effective approach helps break the cycle of poverty and advance Catholic evangelization.
