Orphan Donation Impact

Your Gifts Rescued Orphans in Developing Countries and Gave Hope

Clearly, God has a special place in his heart for at-risk children, and that’s why we empower our ministry partners to care for the world’s most vulnerable boys and girls. In developing countries around the world, Catholic orphanages, schools and boarding homes are providing an important service in this mission by providing holistic care for children who have been orphaned, abandoned and abused — not only ministering to their basic needs, but also providing them with the professional counseling and spiritual formation that can free them from pain and ultimately transform their future.

In 2019, your generosity helped us provide grants for 28 projects for orphans and vulnerable children. You also supported two projects combating human trafficking and shipped material aid to six partners, ultimately assisting and empowering orphans and vulnerable children in Africa, Asia, Latin America and the Caribbean. This funding helped feed and educate orphans and vulnerable children at Association Cross Mozambique (ACM) in Maputo, Mozambique, and helped St. Vincent de Paul Orphanage in Ecuador provide 24/7 care for orphaned and abandoned babies.

Association Cross Mozambique

Mozambique – Project 1163
Smiling children at Association Cross Mozambique

In 2019, Cross Catholic Outreach helped Association Cross Mozambique (ACM) meet the needs of hundreds of orphans and vulnerable children, including many infected with or affected by HIV/AIDS.  Each day, the project fed 23 children a hot meal, and every month the project distributed food baskets to 240 children. Cross Catholic Outreach funds also went toward scholarships for 245 students to help ensure that children get the education they need to pursue a bright future.
