Donor Operations Specialist

Position Summary:

The Donor Operations Specialist position supports gift management within the Donor Program Services Department of Cross Catholic Outreach. The Specialist supports gift processing functions, including payments, batch reconciliation, pledge and recurring gift management, and constituent data additions or updates. The position requires an organized, team player with a strong Christian background. This position operates with a flexible task menu with a schedule for rotation and cross training purposes.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Process daily transactions from multiple sources and follow through to batch reconciliation
  • Conduct constituent record reviews and updates (editing donor data, adding notes)
  • Support processing of charitable and match gift entry, including locating corporate match, CFC, and donor-advised gifts
  • Perform gift adjustments to ensure the proper source code assignment prior to receipting the
  • Support creation and reconciliation of batches
  • Process the mail under dual control
  • Support management of monthly donor program, including creation of orders, schedules, and payment processing
  • Perform constituent data maintenance tasks as assigned
  • Other duties as assigned by management

  • Mission focused with an appreciation and knowledge of donor-centricity and sound knowledge of fundraising principles
  • Commitment to professional ethics in working with highly confidential, sensitive information
  • Record of accomplishment working independently with time constraints
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Comfortable in a digital database environment
  • Self-motivated and detail oriented
  • Expert level data processing skills
  • Time management skills and the ability to work under deadline pressure is essential
  • Critical thinking to analyze large amounts of data and recognize pieces outside of the standard format

Experience Requirements:

Demonstrated experience in nonprofit donor/constituent record management, gift processing, and/or data stewardship. Knowledge of batching and processing donations, bank transactions, and/or payments with specific focus on data that uses sophisticated coding systems to identify attributes.

Education or Certification Requirements:

  • High School diploma
  • 2 years of college course work preferred
