Position Summary:

In conjunction with the GIK and Program Strategy Operations Manager, the GIK and Program Strategy Officer supports the program planning and strategy of the GIK/Missions department. This role will continually focus on supporting, strengthening and monitoring program strategies, policies and operating procedures for the department. This support involves continual updating of key strategies and procedures that reflect proper stewardship of material aid resources, program implementation and organizational planning and optimization. The position requires active synergy with key stakeholders in each department within Missions to promote synchronization between international cash projects, foundation grants, community transformation programs and material aid programming. This position will primarily oversee key data compilation and updating, developing visuals that portray program impact and analyzing program effectiveness. In addition, the position will play a key role in researching key data to identify potential areas/regions/countries for expansion.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Is a consistent witness for Jesus Christ; maintains a courteous, Christ-like attitude when dealing with people within and outside of Cross Catholic Outreach.
  • Collects, compiles and analysis all department data outputs for Program Strategy development, marketing material, GIK donor reports and program assessment.
  • Updates and further develops existing allocation tools, data reports, infographics, presentations, GIK donor quarterly reports, quarterly snapshot reports and country profiles.
  • Creates Program Strategy visuals, presentations and infographics for internal and external usage.
  • Fully responsible for geographic mapping of all material aid distributions, this includes data input, map design and the development of a more automated system.
  • Monitors and updates all aid allocation trackers (Vitafood, Shelter, Health, ).
  • Assist with portfolio diversifying and expansion. This entails researching new regions/countries/ministry partners, identifying potential challenges or risks, evaluating potential solutions and gauging viability of expansion taking into account staff capacity, logistics ability and program usage.
  • Key supporter and GIK point of contact for Wisehive/Zengine management software integration of all GIK programs.
  • Uphold established department protocols.
  • Spearhead special projects as they are assigned.
  • Represent the department in meetings where necessary.
  • Perform other duties and tasks as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Require/Preferred:

  • Knowledgeable of key CCO fundraising initiatives and communication needs.
  • Ability to work well in team environments. Possess excellent interpersonal skills and diplomacy when interfacing with varying levels of staff.
  • Strong communication and documentation skills (both oral and written).
  • Possess a high degree of computer literacy with ability to use existing technology. Fluent in Microsoft Office 365 programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook).
  • Employs effective time management skills in order to meet all deadlines.
  • High aptitude for problem-solving and developing program capacity and compliance.
  • Demonstrate foreign cultural awareness/sensitivity.
  • Strong program experience and ability to advise Partners on integration into various mission strategies and multi-sectoral programs.

Experience Requirements:

  • Proven ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously, resolve problems quickly; work independently and take initiative in driving projects to completion.
  • Familiarity with CCO development and marketing procedures and practices.
  • Commitment to professional ethics with highly confidential and sensitive information.
  • Highly skilled and knowledgeable in program data collecting, compiling and visualizing into program infographics using PowerBI to analyze program usage and effectiveness.
  • Experience with geographic mapping, designing, data inputs and development.

Education or Certification Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Fluency in Spanish, a plus.
