Jesus said to her, “Everyone who drinks of this water will be thirsty again, but those who drink of the water that I will give them will never be thirsty. The water that I will give will become in them a spring of water gushing up to eternal life.”
“Cookbooks for Kenya”
Families will contribute meatless recipes to create a Lenten cookbook that is perfect for this season of fasting. Sell these cookbooks to raise money for poor children in Kenya.
Worldwide, more than 13.3 million children are living without one or both parents due to AIDS.
Heavenly Father, we pray for all children who have been orphaned by AIDS. May you be with them and comfort them. Give them favor in the eyes of relatives and neighbors, so they will be accepted and cared for. If they are sick, ease their pain and bring caregivers into their lives who will help them and give them the medical care they need. Most of all, Lord, let them know they are not alone — but that you are with them each day. In the name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.
