This Lenten season,
This Lenten Season, Cross Catholic Outreach is partnering with St. John Bosco Rehabilitation Center to bless 153 orphans and vulnerable children in Kitale, Kenya.
Our Faith-In-Action program is designed to help your community engage with the spiritual pillars of Lent in a fundraising effort to meet the needs of orphans and vulnerable children in Kenya.
With your help, we can empower St. John Bosco Rehabilitation Center to provide Kitale’s displaced children with food, education, Catholic spiritual formation, life skills training, counseling and the love of Christ.
Pray for the orphaned and abandoned children living at the St. John Bosco Rehabilitation Center and all children living in dire poverty around the world.
May the love of Christ heal their hearts and may he provide for all of their needs.
Fasting enables us to create room in our hearts and minds for God and the care of His people.
Choose something to abstain from during the 40 days of Lent. Use the sacrifice to create additional room in your heart for prayerful focus on the suffering children in Kenya.
“ If any want to become my followers, let them deny themselves and take up their cross and follow me. For those who want to save their life will lose it, and those who lose their life for my sake will find it. ”
For each week, the Lenten Activity Guide includes dedicated reflections based on Sunday Mass readings throughout the 40 days of Lent that culminate in the celebration of Easter. Each week’s activities include readings, verses to memorize, fundraising activities and insightful facts to encounter the needs of Kenya’s orphans and vulnerable children. We encourage you to be creative in your use of this guide, incorporating your own ideas to enrich your experience.
