Beyond the hardships brought on by COVID-19, unexpected disasters like the recent Haiti earthquake or last fall’s Hurricanes Eta and Iota, mean heavy crosses for poor families in the developing world. But with your support, we can rush medicine, food, and other aid through to help them quickly and efficiently through our trusted in-country partners.
Clean water and new houses at the Kobonal Haiti Mission are just one example of how your support changes lives of poor children for the long-term. Your generosity helped lift up some of Haiti’s poorest families recently: 253 people were provided with safe shelter and 4,449 people were blessed with clean water.
Zobeyda Vado in Nicaragua is a single mother of three children under the age of 12. Thanks to the support of Cross Mission Partners, the family recently moved into a new home, built by our friends at Rainbow Network.
House construction is one part of Rainbow Network’s broader effort of community transformation that relies on the enthusiasm and participation of families such as Zobeyda’s.
The home will lead to even greater transformation in the years to come for the Vado family — made possible by the generosity of Cross Mission Partners!
The Vieux family lived in a mud-walled, dirt-floored hut that flooded during hard rain storms. Without electricity, their home was shrouded in darkness. There was no toilet or running water, and danger from outside elements never ceased.
The future of the Vieux family looks brighter. Working together with the local Catholic mission, Cross Catholic Outreach is answering the family’s fervent prayer for a small, sturdy house where they will be safe.
Our ministry is transforming the lives of desperate families such as the Vieux family through the combined monthly gifts donated by Cross Mission Partners.
When back-to-back hurricanes Eta and Iota devastated Central America last year, Cross Catholic Outreach acted immediately. More than 5 million people were affected, including our Catholic ministry partners serving the poor.
In the days and weeks after the hurricanes, our ministry rushed urgent relief — including more than a quarter-million meals and medical aid items — and followed up with shipments of other critically-needed resources to help the homeless, treat the injured and restore lives.
We were able to quickly cover much of the unexpected cost of this relief effort using gifts provided by Cross Mission Partners! Because we can always count on these gifts, they allow us answer urgent needs.
Use it for reflections and notes to grow in your spiritual life. You’ll also receive a prayer request form to mail back so that we can pray for your needs. In effect, this creates a spiritual bridge to connect you to our sisters and brothers in Christ in the developing world!
Cross Mission Partners also receive a semiannual Mission Update with news, insights and information about the good work and accomplishments made possible by your support.

We consider every gift we receive to be a precious resource from God. We direct every donation to its intended project, provide honest and accurate reports to our donors, and keep overhead costs to an industry low. We handle funds with utmost integrity and hold our ministry partners in the field to the same high standards by asking them to document costs and the impact of their outreach.
Rather than create new institutions to distribute aid, we support existing ministries and churches already serving the poor. In addition to being the most cost-effective way of helping the poor, empowering these ministries allows us to support the Church’s spiritual mission and its important position of leadership in poor communities.

Our mission is to mobilize the global Catholic Church to transform the poor and their communities materially and spiritually for the glory of Jesus Christ. Your gift empowers us to serve the poorest of the poor by channeling life-changing aid through an international network of dioceses, parishes and Catholic missionaries. This cost-effective approach helps break the cycle of poverty and advance Catholic evangelization.
Proceeds from this campaign will be used to cover any expenditures incurred through June 30, 2022, the close of our ministry’s fiscal year. In the event that more funds are raised than needed to fully fund the project, the excess funds, if any, will be used to meet the most urgent needs of the ministry.
