Rev. Bartholomew Amobi is a priest of the Diocese of Awka, Nigeria, whose priesthood is rooted in a deep commitment to serving the poorest and most vulnerable. He holds a Ph.D. in medical humanities and brings more than two decades of pastoral experience in parish ministry and hospital and hospice settings in both Nigeria and the United States. As a board-certified chaplain specializing in hospice and palliative care, he has accompanied individuals and families through times of suffering while witnessing the transformative power of Christ’s compassion, dignity and hope. Throughout his ministry, he has remained a dedicated advocate for the poor, the marginalized and those most in need of God’s love.
As a ministry representative for Cross Catholic Outreach, Fr. Bartholomew joyfully proclaims the Gospel by inviting parish communities to participate in Christ’s mission of caring for the poorest of the poor around the world. His preaching inspires compassion, generosity and a deeper understanding that every person is created in the image and likeness of God and deserves to be treated with dignity and respect.
