Born on September 8, 1974, Rev. Cyril Imohisen (Father Cy) was raised in a faith-filled African community where a deep love for God and service to others inspired his vocation to the priesthood. After studying philosophy in Nigeria and theology and missiology at the Catholic University of Eastern Africa in Nairobi, Kenya, he was ordained to the Catholic priesthood in 2005. His early ministry in Tanzania focused on serving the poor through pastoral care and community development, including clean water projects, healthcare outreach, education, agricultural support and pro-life advocacy.
Today, Fr. Cy serves as a resident priest at St. Joseph Catholic Church in the Diocese of Orlando. Guided by a passion for missionary discipleship and compassionate service, he is committed to sharing Christ’s love, bringing hope to those in need, and affirming the dignity of every person he encounters.
