Rev. John P. Fischer

Fr. John P. Fischer, ordained as a member of the Comboni Missionaries on July 17, 1976, has worked in Comboni and Diocesan Missions in Kenya, East Africa.

As a Priest of the Archdiocese of Cincinnati, Fr. Fischer has served as a Hospital Chaplain, Mission Director, Tribunal Judge, and Pastor between 1989 and 2011.

In a wider ministry, he has served as President of the U.S. Catholic Mission Association and on the National and International Catholic Committee of Scouting.

Inspired by St. Daniel Comboni, the first Bishop of Central Africa whose fundamental mission was to the poorest of the poor, we are honored to have Fr. Fischer as one of our Outreach Priests to bring his gifts and talents to serve the poorest of the poor.

In 2016, he was commissioned as a Missionary of Mercy by Pope Francis.
