Rev. John Jamnicky

Fr. John Jamnicky is a retired priest of the Archdiocese of Chicago, ordained in 1972 and was a pastor at St. Martin Church and School in the Englewood community on Chicago’s south side and St. Raphael the Archangel in Old Mill Creek, IL. For 18 years he served as the senior Catholic airport chaplain in the U.S. and administrator and Catholic chaplain of the O’Hare Airport Chapel at Chicago’s O’Hare International Airport.

Fr. Jamnicky assumed the position of National Coordinator for Human Mobility Apostolates and the National Director of the Apostleship of the Seas at the USCCB in Washington, D.C., which encompassed the care of U.S. airport chaplains, and all ministries relating to land transportation. In 2006, he returned to Chicago to found St. Raphael the Archangel in Old Mill Creek, IL.

Fr. Jamnicky is a former Air Force Chaplain and served six years as staff at the USCCB and retired in 2016 as a priest and now resides in Austin, TX.
