Fr. Jaspers serves as a chaplain at Regions Hospital in St. Paul, Minnesota. He is also a member of the philosophy department at the University of St. Thomas. A former Air Force chaplain, he holds graduate degrees in philosophy, theology, and divinity from Fordham University and the St. Paul Seminary.
As a priest of the Archdiocese of St. Paul and Minneapolis, he has served as Parochial Vicar and Parish Administrator at several parishes and has held teaching positions at major institutions of higher learning across the United States. He is the author of numerous articles and book chapters.
Fr. Jaspers explains that “giving to the missions has been a mainstay of Catholic parish life for many generations” and believes this is what “makes Cross Catholic Outreach’s efforts more necessary and unique.” He encourages Catholics to empower the Church in foreign countries experiencing unprecedented growth and where the needs of the poor are urgent.
