Rev. Robert A. Loftus has served as a priest for more than 35 years, dedicating his ministry to proclaiming the Gospel and serving those most in need. Ordained in 1991, he has ministered in the dioceses of Bridgeport and Worcester, Massachusetts, serving as pastor, associate pastor, university chaplain and prison chaplain. Throughout his priesthood, he has had a special heart for the underserved, including those in Hispanic communities, and has spent time studying Spanish through immersion in the Dominican Republic to better serve those entrusted to his care.
Father Loftus currently serves as pastor of St. Joseph – St. Pius X Parish in Leicester, Massachusetts. His own journey of faith, marked by God’s grace and transformation, has deepened his compassion for those facing life’s challenges and strengthened his commitment to sharing Christ’s love with others.
