Rev. Andrew Martin

Rev. Msgr. Andrew Martin

Monsignor Andy Martin is from Camden, NJ. He was ordained for the Diocese of Camden in 1967 in Saint Peter’s Basilica in Rome. He earned degrees in Philosophy, Theology, and Education from Saint Mary’s Seminary and University in Baltimore, the Gregorian University in Rome, and the University of Notre Dame in South Bend.

Msgr. served primarily in the ministry of Catholic Secondary Education as a teacher, department chair, vice-principal, principal and president in four of the high schools in his diocese. He also served on various diocesan committees, including Chairman of the Priest Personnel Board for a number of years. He served for three years simultaneously as president of a high school and pastor of a parish. Upon his retirement in 2010 he was named President Emeritus of Camden Catholic High School where he continues to work in the Development Office of the school. He resides on the campus of the high school, a residence hall for 32 international students who attend the high school. This “retirement” work at the school is rewarding and keeps him in tune with young people today.

Msgr. Martin is grateful for the opportunity that Cross Catholic Outreach gives him to incorporate into his own priesthood this essential ministry to the poorest of the poor.
