Fr. Theophilus (Theo) Okpara is currently a Staff Chaplain at the Veterans Hospital Bedford, Massachusetts. He was ordained to the priesthood on August 24, 1996, and is an incardinated priest of the Diocese of Orlu, Nigeria. He served as a missionary in the Diocese of Little Rock for 15 years (2 years as an associate pastor and 13 years as a pastor).
Fr. Theo holds Bachelor’s Degrees in Philosophy and Theology, a Master’s Degree in Community Counseling and earned his Ph.D. in Counselor Education and Supervision. He is a National Certified Counselor (NCC) and a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC).
Fr. Theo’s status as a missionary adds to his passion to serve the poor, which connected him with Cross Catholic Outreach priests whom he has welcomed into his parish many times. Fr. Theo is very happy to join Cross Catholic Outreach as an Outreach Priest, and he is committed to be an instrument of God’s love for the poor whom we serve.
