Throughout his ministry, Friar Serrano has fulfilled various pastoral roles across the Americas. He served as parish vicar at Saint Dominic Parish in New Orleans, Louisiana, and later as pastor of the historic Church of Santo Domingo de Guzmán in Guayaquil, Ecuador. Upon returning to New Orleans, he assumed the role of parish administrator at Blessed Francisco Xavier Seelos Church.
Friar Serrano later served as director of the Center of Jesus the Lord. He was appointed as director of the Hispanic apostolate of the Archdiocese of New Orleans, where he provided pastoral care and spiritual guidance to the Hispanic Catholic community. He is the voice of “The Bible in a Year” podcast in Spanish for Ascension Press, bringing Catholic biblical education to Spanish-speaking audiences worldwide.
Currently, Friar Serrano serves as a part-time instructor at the Aquinas Institute and the Congar Institute, and is a full-time Outreach Priest for Cross Catholic Outreach. He is pursuing his doctorate of ministerial theology at Barry University in Miami, Florida, furthering his commitment to theological scholarship and pastoral excellence.
Through his diverse ministry spanning parish life, education, media, outreach, retreats, missions and pilgrimages worldwide, Friar Serrano serves the Church with dedication to the Dominican charism of preaching and teaching.
