” We set forth our petitions before God, not in order to make known to Him our needs and desires, but rather so that we ourselves may realize that in these things it is necessary to turn to God for help. “
– St Thomas Aquinas
Our work at Cross Catholic Outreach begins each day in communal prayer. On Tuesdays, ministry staff spends the first hour of the workday praying for the specific intentions of our donors. We consider it an honor and a privilege to intercede for our friends and supporters. If you or someone you love needs prayer, please fill out the form below. We would love to pray for you.
Our Lady, Undoer of Knots
Holy Mary, full of God’s presence during the day
of your life, you accepted with full humility the
Father’s will, and the devil was never capable of
tying you up with his confusion. Once with your
Son you interceded for our difficulties, and full
of kindness and patience, you gave us example of
how to untie the knots in our life. By remaining
forever Our Mother, you put in order and make
more clear the ties that link us to the Lord. Holy
Mother, Mother of God and our Mother, to you
who untie with a motherly heart the knots of
our life, we pray to you to receive in your hands
(the name of the person), and to free him/her of
the knots and confusion with which our enemy
attacks. Through your grace, your intercession
and your example deliver us from all evil, Our
Lady, and untie the knots that prevent us from
being united with God, so that we, free from sin
and error, may find Him in all things, may have
our hearts placed in Him, and may serve Him
always in our brothers and sisters. Amen.
Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name.
Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us.
And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.
For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, forever and ever. Amen
Heavenly Father, thank you for your grace and mercy. Thank you for your guidance and for calling us to participate in your Kingdom purpose.
Father, we pray for your protection and strength for each one who cares for the poor and neglected – those that are so easily forgotten.
Help us to remember, Father, that you show your love – especially to those in need.
Father, we are asking you to guide us as an organization. We pray that, through our board leadership and in all things, your will shall be done. We offer our prayers for our donors and ask that you guide us as we seek to help those less fortunate and may it be done for your glory.
Lord, we are your servants, and we trust in you to direct our paths. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
God our Father, Creator of the Universe, you have set the earth upon its foundation and all of the elements of nature obey your command.
We humbly come before you as your children, in thanksgiving for your loving care and protection.
Keep us and our ministry partners safe from all hurricanes and storms which may threaten us this season.
You alone have the power to command the wind, the rain, and the seas. You alone bring peace, calm and safety, and are our refuge.
Father, we thank you in advance and ask this through Jesus Christ, your Son, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, forever and ever. Amen.
Oh Lord, source of all love and hope,
Sent by the Father, You came to embrace and become one of the least, vulnerable and marginalized in our world. Created in the same Divine image and likeness, we are called to acknowledge You in everyone we encounter, to meet people where they are, to seek the good of each person and the whole of each person.
Send your Holy Spirit to guide and direct the work of our Ministry Partners, who have made it their mission to accompany the neglected and marginalized of our world.
Open their eyes so they recognize You in the people they serve.
Open their ears so they may hear the cries of the poor and listen attentively to all their needs. Open their hearts to be filled with Your love so that it may overflow to all they serve.
Be in their midst as they accompany and sojourn with their communities.
May all their actions and interactions be a reflection of your abundant light and love so that everyone they encounter may encounter You.
May our prayers be a source of strength and support for them. We ask this in Jesus’ name.
