Apr. 06, 2026 – The Catholic Diocese of Chipata has handed over a newly constructed ablution block to Namseche Correctional Facility in Chipata, aimed at improving sanitation and living conditions for inmates.

Speaking during the handover Mass, Bishop Lungu describes the project, constructed at a cost of about six hundred thousand kwacha with support from Cross Catholic Outreach, as a symbol of care, respect, and commitment to human dignity for both inmates and officers.
