Father George Kintiba was ordained into the priesthood on July 21, 1996 in Kinshasa, Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC). Born and raised in the DRC and Belgium, gave Fr. Kintiba a unique perspective and a heart to serve others. In his pastoral work, he has served street children, teenagers, young adults, and troubled youths. He has been an outspoken activist in his home country against social injustice.
Father is a member of the Society of the Divine Word. Since his ordination, he has missioned to the United States, Chicago Province of the Society of the Divine Word.
Fr. Kintiba went on to pursue graduate and postgraduate studies in Washington DC. Among his many educational credentials, he holds a Masters of Arts in Religious Studies and History and a Ph.D. in History from Howard University, Washington DC. Presently, he is an Adjunct-professor of history at Howard University and lectures at the University of Maryland.
