Fight Poverty in African Countries

Africa is the poorest continent on the planet, a place with the highest rate of malnourishment worldwide and where at least 27.4 percent of people are affected by food insecurity. The poverty statistics are even more concerning in sub-Saharan Africa, where infant mortality rates are the highest in the world, basic infrastructure is lacking, and forced child labor is common. Meanwhile, an estimated 25 million Africans live with the HIV virus.

Cross Catholic Outreach works to overcome poverty in Africa through partnerships with the local Catholic Church, especially in the nations of Ethiopia, Ghana, Kenya, Mozambique and Zambia. We collaborate with ministry partners and help provide quality Catholic education, access to medical care, food, shelter, and spiritual formation to the poorest of the poor. Please consider joining the fight against poverty in Africa today.

In that rare event that more funds are received than are required for a specific project, the additional funds will be used to meet the most urgent needs.

Fundraising & Administrative Expenses 5.82%
More than 94 percent of all organizational expenses, including donated goods, went directly to programs that help the poor.
Audited Financials FY2022

Proceeds from this campaign will be used to cover any expenditures incurred through June 30, 2023, the close of our ministry’s fiscal year. In the event that more funds are raised than needed to fully fund the project, the excess funds, if any, will be used to meet the most urgent needs of the ministry.
