The best plans to reduce world poverty empower individuals to support themselves because restoring dignity and encouraging self-sufficiency is important to a family’s long-term prosperity. In developing countries, self-help efforts of this kind often focus on the economic sector most poor families are already familiar with: agriculture.
Cross Catholic Outreach is partnering with ministries in Africa, Asia, the Caribbean, Mexico and Central America, and South Americato show God’s love for the poor by helping them become more economically self-sufficient. The effective agricultural programs Cross Catholic Outreach supports typically include training and provide material resources a farming family needs to produce higher, more profitable crop yields and boost annual earnings.
Rural families in the Dominican Republic are trapped in generational poverty without hope of improving their lives. Their destitute communities were often formed around sugarcane mills as poor Haitians made their way across the border and accepted low-paying jobs.
As jobs became scarce and their homes deteriorated, their poverty worsened, especially among women. Fortunately, our ministry partner has a comprehensive plan to empower these women. Your gift will provide loans, training and spiritual support so impoverished mothers can create agricultural businesses and earn an income.
In everything we do, we remain focused on the Lord, serving with humility, fervor and love, and advancing Catholic evangelization. We work in partnership with church-based ministries and other faith-based organizations, creating an ideal synergy for the greatest impact.
Giving monthly is a small way to have a big impact. Your regular support empowers our ministry to respond to urgent needs and fulfill our long-term projects across the world.

At Cross Catholic, we meticulously honor the intent of our donors. All proceeds are restricted for the specific project for which they are raised. In that rare event that more funds are received than are required for a specific project, the additional funds will be used to meet the most urgent needs.
Proceeds from this campaign will be used to cover any expenditures incurred through June 30, 2024, the close of our ministry’s fiscal year. In the event that more funds are raised than needed to fully fund the project, the excess funds, if any, will be used to meet the most urgent needs of the ministry.
