Vulnerable Children Projects

Children are a gift from God, which is why it breaks our hearts to know that there are an estimated 140 million orphans worldwide. Not only must these children cope with the loss of their parents, but they must also deal with the housing, food, and safety challenges that come with being on your own.

Cross Catholic Outreach demonstrates God’s love and compassion through projects administered by our local ministry partners, who care for orphans and vulnerable children throughout their communities. Not only do these these projects help prevent abuse and neglect, provide basic necessities, offer free education, and provide nutritious meals to help little ones grow up to be healthy and resilient, but they also receive spiritual formation and are shown to the love of Christ. Please consider supporting these projects for orphaned and vulnerable children and make a real difference in a child’s life today.

In the remote village of Impaputo, the HIV/AIDS crisis has left a devastating trail of orphans and sick, vulnerable villagers. In addition, most families rely on subsistence farming for survival, so a continuous drought has left a high number of parents unemployed and with very poor living conditions. The Missionary Sisters of the Precious Blood are reaching out to these children through the Impaputo Day Care Center.

This is a safe place where needy children can get an education, eat daily meals, receive hygiene support and learn about Christ’s love for them. Won’t you help us give these orphans and vulnerable children the boost they need to overcome their circumstances and seek a future free from poverty?

Cross Catholic Outreach

Our mission is to mobilize the global Catholic Church to transform the poor and their communities materially and spiritually for the glory of Jesus Christ. Your gift empowers us to serve the poorest of the poor by channeling life-changing aid through an international network of dioceses, parishes and Catholic missionaries. This cost-effective approach helps break the cycle of poverty and advance Catholic evangelization.

Proceeds from this campaign will be used to cover any expenditures incurred through June 30, 2022, the close of our ministry’s fiscal year. In the event that more funds are raised than needed to fully fund the project, the excess funds, if any, will be used to meet the most urgent needs of the ministry.
