Water & Health

According to UNICEF*, 2.1 billion people worldwide lack access to clean drinking water, 3.4 billion lack basic sanitation services, and millions cannot access medical care.

Thankfully, last year, friends like you helped us construct 270 individual water systems, 174 community water systems and over 200 sanitation systems, blessing more than 240,000 people with clean drinking water and improved sanitation services. Your generosity also enabled us and our ministry partners to provide maternal care to more than 3,000 mothers and medical procedures for over 2,300 people.

This year, with your help, we can quench the thirst of the poor, improve sanitation and hygiene, and help even more families access critically needed medicine and healthcare.

Frequently Asked Questions

The Cross Catholic Outreach Project Catalog makes it easy to support the world poverty relief and development efforts dearest to your heart. You can fund an individual project — such as one providing Food or Housing — in a specific country, or you can give to one of our various general funds. All listed projects are those we have committed to funding during our current fiscal year.

It’s easy to shop through the Cross Catholic Outreach Project Catalog. Simply browse the categories and choose an item within your budget and close to your heart, such as Anti-Trafficking and Girls’ Rescue or Most Urgent Needs. Select and sponsor one or more of these gifts, and you’ll make a meaningful impact on the life of a needy child or family. It’s that simple!

Absolutely! Once you select your items, you’ll be given the option of sending an e-card or printing a customizable certificate. This is a meaningful way to share Christ’s love with others while also honoring friends and family.

We are a Catholic ministry that partners with bishops, priests, and religious and lay workers to support Food, Water & Health, Housing, Kids & Education, Women & Girls, Disaster Relief and Farming & Loans opportunities and to share the love of our Lord Jesus Christ with the poor and vulnerable in over 30 countries around the world.

We meticulously honor the intent of our donors. Proceeds are restricted to the specific project for which they are raised, along with the fundraising and administrative expenses of that project. If more funds are raised than needed to fully fund the project, any excess funds will be used to meet the most urgent needs of the ministry. Out of the combined total of all cash and material goods donated to Cross Catholic Outreach in a typical year, more than 94% goes directly to programs that help the poor and vulnerable.

What Is Your Legacy Mission?

When you include Cross Catholic as a beneficiary in your will, trust, retirement account or life insurance policy, you will make a difference for poor communities by meeting both material and spiritual needs for generations to come.

Donations from this campaign will be used to cover any expenditures for this project incurred through June 30, 2027, the close of our ministry’s fiscal year. In the event that more funds are raised than needed to fully fund the project, the excess funds, if any, will be used to meet the most urgent needs of the ministry.
