United Nations global surveys have revealed that an estimated 100 million people are homeless around the world and that at least 1.6 billion lack adequate housing. Housing for the poor is often difficult to access and afford, leaving families to fend for themselves in dirty slums, makeshift shanties, and on unsafe streets.
Building homes for the poor is one of our primary missions at Cross Catholic Outreach, especially in rural areas with limited resources and following devastating natural disasters. Our housing for the poor projects build sturdy and sustainable homes in impoverished communities to help families thrive while supporting spiritual development and offering the love of Jesus Christ.

For years, the Pallottine Missionary Sisters have brought joy and light to the impoverished elderly in Belize’s Toledo District – but they need our help to meet a desperate need for housing!
Many poor elderly citizens live an isolated existence in dilapidated shanties. A volunteer mission team from Texas wants to travel to Belize to serve and work alongside an in-country contractor to repair these broken-down homes and bring hope to these precious elders. But they cannot do this without your help! Your gift will cover the costs for repairs and contracting services. Won’t you join us in honoring Punta Gorda’s elderly by repairing their homes?
In everything we do, we remain focused on the Lord, serving with humility, fervor and love, and advancing Catholic evangelization. We work in partnership with church-based ministries and other faith-based organizations, creating an ideal synergy for the greatest impact.
Giving monthly is a small way to have a big impact. Your regular support empowers our ministry to respond to urgent needs and fulfill our long-term projects across the world.

At Cross Catholic, we meticulously honor the intent of our donors. All proceeds are restricted for the specific project for which they are raised. In that rare event that more funds are received than are required for a specific project, the additional funds will be used to meet the most urgent needs.
Proceeds from this campaign will be used to cover any expenditures incurred through June 30, 2023, the close of our ministry’s fiscal year. In the event that more funds are raised than needed to fully fund the project, the excess funds, if any, will be used to meet the most urgent needs of the ministry.
