How You Can Help Haiti’s Families

Haiti is the poorest country in the Western Hemisphere, with nearly 60% of its people living in poverty (CIA World Factbook). This small Caribbean nation has endured repeated natural disasters and trials of many kinds, and in recent years, hardships have increased due to gang activity and civil unrest, especially near the capital city of Port-au-Prince.

Despite these challenges, our faithful Catholic ministry partners continue to stand strong. For example, the Kobonal Haiti Mission was able to build 44 homes, provide clean water for 2,415 people, guarantee daily meals for 1,827 children, and accomplish incredible things in Christ’s name last year. This year, with your support, we can help them extend that impact to even more of our brothers and sisters in need.

For over 30 years, the Kobonal Haiti Mission has stood as a beacon of hope in the nation’s Central Plateau, shining Christ’s light and transforming many lives in the process.

By supporting this initiative, you will help the Kobonal Haiti Mission who is providing safe shelter, nourishing meals and lasting hope for the future.

Donate to bless lives in Haiti, magnifying Christ’s name by sharing his compassion with the poor. Keep in mind: Just $13,431 will build an entire home for a family in need!

The Need in Haiti

Right now, there are Haitian children living in unsafe homes, drinking contaminated water that exposes them to disease and sacrificing school because the cost is too great a burden for their families. In fact, with many families struggling to put food on the table, a sturdy roof and uninterrupted education are considered luxuries.

For these children and their families, ministries like the Kobonal Haiti Mission and the generosity of Catholics a world away give them hope for a safe home, a full belly and a quality Catholic education.

A Mission To Bless Lives Throughout Haiti

Your support will provide children with empowering education and families with nourishing meals. It will also build sturdy houses that typically follow this model:

  • Solar lighting system

Children who attend the Kobonal Mission School are provided with two hearty meals a day.

Donations from this campaign will be used to cover any expenditures for this project incurred through June 30, 2027, the close of our ministry’s fiscal year. In the event that more funds are raised than needed to fully fund the project, the excess funds, if any, will be used to meet the most urgent needs of the ministry.
