Africa
Africa is the poorest continent on the planet, a place with the highest rate of malnourishment worldwide and where at least 27.4 percent of people are affected by food insecurity. The poverty statistics are even more concerning in Sub-Saharan African where infant mortality rates are the highest in the world, basic infrastructure is lacking, and forced child labor is common. Meanwhile, an estimated 25 million Africans live with the HIV virus, while human rights abuses are rampant.
Cross Catholic Outreach works to overcome poverty in Africa through partnerships with the local Catholic Church, especially in the nations of Ethiopia, Kenya, and Mozambique. We collaborate with ministry partners and help provide quality Catholic education, access to medical care, food, shelter, and spiritual formation to the poorest of the poor. Please consider joining the fight against poverty in Ethiopia, Kenya, Malawi, Mozambique, and other countries in Africa today.
