Asia is a continent of both great prosperity and great poverty. Asian poverty is largely concentrated in South Asia where education, clean water, and sanitation are inadequate. Nearly half of the world’s poorest people live in Asia’s rural and urban areas in places like the Philippines, India, Bangladesh, and Nepal. Poverty in Asia is often the result of overcrowded cities, low annual incomes, hunger, discrimination against women, natural disasters, lack of education, and other factors of inequality.
This is why Cross Catholic Outreach partners with church-based ministries and faith-based organizations to bring relief to the people of Asia in the name of Christ. Please help us pursue our critical poverty missions in Asia through locally focused feeding programs, housing projects, education initiatives, and spiritual development
