Many countries in South America have high poverty rates, especially in the northern portion of the continent. Some of the most impoverished nations here are Ecuador, Bolivia, and Peru. Poverty in these regions is often due to adverse weather conditions that devastate agricultural land, unequal distribution of resources, lack of jobs, and limited opportunities for medical care and education.
Our Catholic ministry partners provide critical support to the poor and strive to make impoverished South American families healthier, self-sufficient, and spiritually fulfilled. By empowering local Catholic priests, sisters, and lay ministries we're able to provide access to clean water, aid local farming communities, support the education of young students, and feed the hungry. With your help, we can further alleviate poverty in South America in the name of Jesus Christ.
When you select an aid project, your donation to that project will be used to cover any expenditures for the project incurred through June 30, 2019, the close of our ministry's fiscal year. In the event that more funds are raised than needed to fully fund the project, the excess funds, if any, will be used to meet the most urgent needs of the ministry.
