1194 - Scholarship Program for Impoverished Students - Belize

Project 1194

Education in Belize

John Paul II Junior College Scholarship Program

Donate to help transform lives

Belize’s few institutions of higher learning are much too expensive for impoverished students, and are located in larger cities such as Belize City or San Ignacio.

This situation is especially difficult for high school graduates who live in remote areas such as the Belize/Guatemala border town on Benque Viejo. This project will provide scholarships for eight impoverished students, enabling them to receive a quality college education — an achievement that would otherwise be unattainable. A gift from you will not only pay for the scholarships, but will also help fund operational costs plus salaries and housing for the teachers.

Our Global Work

In everything we do, we remain focused on the Lord, serving with humility, fervor and love, and advancing Catholic evangelization. We work in partnership with church-based ministries and other faith-based organizations, creating and ideal synergy for the greatest impact.

Financial Accountability

At Cross Catholic, we meticulously honor the intent of our donors. All proceeds are restricted for the specific project for which they are raised. In that rare event that more funds are received than are required for a specific project, the additional funds will be used to meet the most urgent needs.

Fundraising & Administrative Expenses 5.82%
More than 94 percent of all organizational expenses, including donated goods, went directly to programs that help the poor.
Audited Financials FY2022

Proceeds from this campaign will be used to cover any expenditures incurred through June 30, 2023, the close of our ministry’s fiscal year. In the event that more funds are raised than needed to fully fund the project, the excess funds, if any, will be used to meet the most urgent needs of the ministry.
